Apathy: 1) absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement; 2) lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting. (Dictionary.com)

A former Twitter friend, and a fellow core member of Sean Hannity’s #LNYHBT Army, shared a story of what her father went through. She’s put her thoughts down and has shared what she could about her dad. Photo above is of her father then (left) and her and her father recently (right).

I found an image on the internet somewhere that said ‘Apathy Breeds Death’. Since she and I both loathe the apathy running rampant in our world today, she found the saying fitting for her blog post.

“Apathy Breeds Death”

“I worry. I worry and I’m scared. This President came into office with his community organizer background and his talk of fundamental change, and he’s doing just that. He’s taking away our freedom in such a way that if we don’t stop him in his tracks now, there may not be a second chance.

What have our troops died for? What have they left their homes and loved ones to fight for? OUR FREEDOM. The freedom of every single person in this country. And what have we done? Sit back and watch it get stolen by political correctness, government mandates, and “redistribution of wealth”. The people are not supposed to fear the government! The government is supposed to fear the people!

When did we lose sight of the fact that this was the only country purposely founded on a good idea?! HOW are we allowing for this administration to use our Constitution as toilet paper? WHY are people not angry?! The “Big R” Republican party, the establishment, is such a huge slap in the face. Do you even know what being a Conservative is?! Instead of going into the race trying to fix what this moron has done, they’re in it for their own self interest. It’s almost as if they didn’t care if this country was lost.

It angers me that all the warning signs were there, all the red flags were up, and people didn’t listen. No, they thought, “these right wing extremists are crazy!” People bought into that “hope and change” rhetoric, and where has it gotten us? Over $15 trillion in debt, the first EVER downgrade, cuts in our defense budget, wars on Christianity and the unborn, government mandated health care, attempts to stifle our right to free speech and expression with ridiculous Obama spies like Attack Watch, an unemployment rate that hasn’t been this bad since the Great Depression… must I say more?

Oh, let’s not forget the welcoming with open arms of the Muslim Brotherhood…. a movement based on a “religion of peace” that only wants to see us all dead. A “religion” that finds no problem with raping young children, flying airplanes into buildings killing THOUSANDS of innocent people, beating their women to death, bestiality… give me a break!

THIS IS AMERICA! Remember? That place where our parents, grandparents, and ancestors fled to because THEIR countries were oppressors. If we lose our country, where are we going to go?!

Winston Churchill once said, “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” What a perfect description. It is the philosophy of failure. Just take a look a countries like Cuba, for example. A place that is covered in filth, with people making rafts out of pick-up trucks to try to flee. A place led by a man who made empty promises for a “utopian” society. The creed of ignorance. How ignorant are those people who protest against basic civil rights and don’t realize the beauty of that freedom to stand up for what you believe in? How ignorant are those people who feel the government will provide them with everything they need? The gospel of envy. The gospel of hating and punishing someone because they’ve worked hard for what they own! That ridiculous sense of entitlement for not having done anything to deserve something.

Why do I care? Other than my realizing where I live and how good I’ve had it? Other than the fact that this country has been the beacon of freedom for so many generations from so many places? Other than because I refuse to see the sacrifices of those who have fought for this country to have been in vain? Because I know, from experience, what tyranny can do to a family, to a person, to a country.

My father was arrested by the Communists in Cuba, led by Fidel Castro, in 1964. He was sentenced to 30 years. He served 14, and when put on a plane to the United States, he was warned that if he ever returned, he would be killed. Now, imagine this, if you will. Imagine someone coming in and telling you you’re no longer allowed to practice your faith. Imagine someone coming in and telling you, “this house is now property of the government, so you’ll need to vacate”, imagine you not being allowed into your own beaches because they’re no longer yours to enjoy. They’re for the tourists who give money to the regime. Imagine having to bury your guns so as to not have the government confiscate them. Imagine your degree not counting for anything because you’re going to be told what to study, where to work, and how much you’re going to make.

Did you know that I make more than an experienced doctor or lawyer in Cuba? In fact, most entry level folks here do. Imagine, being a little girl (my sister) not being able to see her father because he was in jail for fighting against the regime. Imagine your entire family living in exile while you’re alone in a jail cell. Imagine facing a firing squad, DAILY, and not knowing whether they’ll fire blanks or a real bullet. Every day wondering if that’s your day to die.

History does repeat itself. I beg you to please learn from history before we’re doomed to learn these lessons in blood. Do not let this tyrant take our liberty. STAND FIRM. Vote him out. Do not let down our troops who’ve sacrificed so much to ensure we have freedom.

I will NOT lose my country. I will NOT stand idly by and have it suffer the same fate my father’s homeland did.

Liberty or death…. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! ” -Ali (@EdgeofAnarchy38)

My post script:

P.S.
People just don’t care about anything anymore. No passion. No fire. No purpose. I believe this is how our current administration would have us be. That way they can instill THEIR passions, fire, and purpose in our lives.

We need to seek the passion that helped build this great country! Our foundation in Biblical truths, our founders, our great leaders, our soldiers…

We need to focus that passion into defending our country! Why must we learn the hard way? Why must we be lulled to sleep by apathy? Why must we blindly follow the ‘pied piper’ and his radical anti-American beliefs? Why must we forget so soon the lives lost in one of the biggest terrorist acts of my day- September 11, 2001?

I agree w Ali… We need to WAKE UP! WAKE UP the giant that America was, is, and will continue to be as long as we put God first, and have fine soldiers and patriots who focus their passion into defending her honor!

Jesus spoke of being lukewarm in the Bible. Although we believe He was referring to the church, the body of believers, being lukewarm in their passion for Him, I think His words are clear as to one being lukewarm. And I clearly see ‘lukewarm’ as apathy.

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16 (NIV)

History DOES repeat itself. Apathy will lead to death. Don’t allow yourself to be lukewarm; choose to be passionate for the great country God has blessed us w!

Soldier on!
